[German only] Constitutional Reforms in Myanmar - A Country at the Beginning of a Transformation Process

In his working paper in German language, the author Christian Landenberger is summarizing the recent changes of Myanmar’s constitution since the beginning of the transformation process. He is aiming to evaluate the changes and he provides prospects for the future of Myanmar.

Over decades, Myanmar was ruled by a military dictatorship until the government of Myanmar launched a series of remarkable constitutional reforms recently. However, as analyzed by the author, these changes should not be overestimated yet. Myanmar is only standing at the beginning of a long and challenging transformation process.
